# MEGAMU vs MU

The clearest difference is rating: MU at 5.0 against MEGAMU's 3.8. MU also leads on review sentiment (62% vs 40%) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). MEGAMU's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MEGAMU sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and MU sells 13 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MU holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MEGAMU has 23 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 40% of MEGAMU's written reviews are positive against 62% of MU's.

MEGAMU ships an update every 3 weeks, MU every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
