# Umi vs Cappy

The clearest difference is ads: Cappy at none against Umi's shown. Cappy also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Umi's advantage is ratings volume (2.7K vs 3). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Umi sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month and Cappy sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Cappy holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Umi has 2.7K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Umi ships an update every 10 days, Cappy fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
