# Umi vs Tendrite

The clearest difference is ads: Tendrite at none against Umi's shown. Tendrite also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Umi's advantage is ratings volume (2.7K vs 1) and chart position (#173 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Umi sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month and Tendrite sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Tendrite holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Umi has 2.7K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Umi ships an update every 10 days, Tendrite every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and September 19, 2026 respectively.
