# DIME® vs Cognative Cafe

The clearest difference is update cadence: DIME® at every 4 weeks against Cognative Cafe's every 8 months. DIME® also leads on ratings volume (15K vs 2). Cognative Cafe's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for DIME® against 5.0 for Cognative Cafe. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DIME® has 15K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

DIME® ships an update every 4 weeks, Cognative Cafe every 8 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
