# FlightSpan vs Chart Guide Pro

The clearest difference is price: FlightSpan at Free against Chart Guide Pro's $5.99. FlightSpan also leads on rating (5.0 vs 1.0) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 21 months). On ads, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

FlightSpan is free to download; Chart Guide Pro costs $5.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

FlightSpan holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FlightSpan has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

FlightSpan ships an update every 2 weeks, Chart Guide Pro every 21 months. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
