# BeSwift vs Ghost

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: BeSwift at none against Ghost's 20. BeSwift also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6). Ghost's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs every 7 months) and ratings volume (7.7K vs 1). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ghost sells 19 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. BeSwift asks for nothing beyond the download.

BeSwift holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ghost has 7.7K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

BeSwift ships an update every 7 months, Ghost every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
