# Tarot vs Grimorio

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Tarot at none against Grimorio's 2. Tarot also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Grimorio's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (20 vs 1). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Grimorio sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Tarot asks for nothing beyond the download.

Tarot holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Grimorio has 20 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Tarot ships an update every 2 months, Grimorio every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
