# Quick Capture & Notes vs Jot

The clearest difference is rating: Jot at 5.0 against Quick Capture & Notes's 4.4. Jot also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Quick Capture & Notes's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (27 vs 1). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Quick Capture & Notes sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Jot sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Jot holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Quick Capture & Notes has 27 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Quick Capture & Notes ships an update weekly, Jot every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 5, 2026.
