# 3D Offline Maps vs ArkenMap

The clearest difference is review sentiment: 3D Offline Maps at 80% against ArkenMap's 50%. 3D Offline Maps also leads on ratings volume (647 vs 2) and iOS requirement (15.4 vs 17.0). ArkenMap's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.6). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 3D Offline Maps sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and ArkenMap sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ArkenMap holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 3D Offline Maps has 647 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of 3D Offline Maps's written reviews are positive against 50% of ArkenMap's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
