# Active Tracker vs MakePaper

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Active Tracker at none against MakePaper's 4. Active Tracker also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). MakePaper's advantage is update cadence (every 6 days vs every 3 weeks) and ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MakePaper sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Active Tracker asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Active Tracker against 5.0 for MakePaper. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MakePaper has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Active Tracker ships an update every 3 weeks, MakePaper every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on June 6, 2026 and September 15, 2026 respectively.
