# GolfNut vs Arcade1Up

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Arcade1Up at none against GolfNut's 3. Arcade1Up also leads on ratings volume (3.7K vs 9) and rating (4.8 vs 4.6). GolfNut's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (100% vs 67%). On price, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GolfNut sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Arcade1Up asks for nothing beyond the download.

Arcade1Up holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Arcade1Up has 3.7K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of GolfNut's written reviews are positive against 67% of Arcade1Up's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

GolfNut ships an update every 2 weeks, Arcade1Up every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on September 23, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
