# GolfNut vs Bally Rewards

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Bally Rewards at none against GolfNut's 3. Bally Rewards also leads on ratings volume (1.3K vs 10) and rating (4.8 vs 4.6). GolfNut's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (100% vs 87%). On price, update cadence, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GolfNut sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Bally Rewards asks for nothing beyond the download.

Bally Rewards holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bally Rewards has 1.3K ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of GolfNut's written reviews are positive against 87% of Bally Rewards's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

GolfNut ships an update fortnightly, Bally Rewards monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
