# GolfNut vs AltitudePlus+

The clearest difference is review sentiment: GolfNut at 100% against AltitudePlus+'s 22%. GolfNut also leads on rating (4.6 vs 4.0) and monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription). AltitudePlus+'s advantage is ratings volume (3K vs 9) and chart position (#139 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GolfNut sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and AltitudePlus+ sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $19.95 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

GolfNut holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AltitudePlus+ has 3K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of GolfNut's written reviews are positive against 22% of AltitudePlus+'s.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 23, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
