# La Terminal vs Pingta

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Pingta at none against La Terminal's 3. Pingta also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.6). La Terminal's advantage is ratings volume (104 vs 1) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. La Terminal sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Pingta asks for nothing beyond the download.

Pingta holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: La Terminal has 104 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

La Terminal ships an update every 3 weeks, Pingta every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
