# RescueTime vs FateTap

The clearest difference is update cadence: FateTap at fortnightly against RescueTime's monthly. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. RescueTime sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.00 per month and FateTap sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

RescueTime ships an update monthly, FateTap fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
