# Illustory vs Video Teleprompter

The clearest difference is ads: Illustory at none against Video Teleprompter's shown. Video Teleprompter's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Illustory sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Video Teleprompter sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Illustory ships an update every 6 weeks, Video Teleprompter fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
