# OpenCap vs ActiScope

The clearest difference is update cadence: ActiScope at every 3 days against OpenCap's every 4 months. OpenCap's advantage is device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

OpenCap ships an update every 4 months, ActiScope every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
