# Wallaroo vs Minipaper

The clearest difference is monetization model: Minipaper at free with in-app purchases against Wallaroo's subscription. Minipaper also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). Wallaroo's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.5) and review sentiment (58% vs 48%). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Wallaroo sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Minipaper sells 21 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Wallaroo holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 213 and 84 respectively. Written reviews point the same way: 58% of Wallaroo's written reviews are positive against 48% of Minipaper's.

Wallaroo ships an update every 2 months, Minipaper fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 17, 2026.
