# Sequel vs Topstermania

The clearest difference is rating: Sequel at 4.8 against Topstermania's 1.0. Sequel also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (1.3K vs 2). Topstermania's advantage is iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sequel sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Topstermania sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Sequel holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sequel has 1.3K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Sequel ships an update weekly, Topstermania every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
