# Sequel vs KnownFrom

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Sequel at 1.3K against KnownFrom's 12. Sequel also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 4 weeks) and device support (3 vs 1). KnownFrom's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sequel sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and KnownFrom sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

KnownFrom holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sequel has 1.3K ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 93% of Sequel's written reviews are positive against 100% of KnownFrom's.

Sequel ships an update weekly, KnownFrom every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
