# OnSkin vs Solid Core

The clearest difference is rating: OnSkin at 4.7 against Solid Core's 1.0. OnSkin also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 14 months) and ratings volume (33K vs 1). Solid Core's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 15) and ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. OnSkin sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Solid Core asks for nothing beyond the download.

OnSkin holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: OnSkin has 33K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
