# BURSTS vs Empower Harrogate

The clearest difference is update cadence: Empower Harrogate at every 3 months against BURSTS's every 25 months. BURSTS's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 14.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

BURSTS ships an update every 25 months, Empower Harrogate every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
