# Lifelight vs Eggnote

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Lifelight at 78% against Eggnote's 20%. Lifelight also leads on ratings volume (410 vs 1) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 10 days). Eggnote's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lifelight sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month and Eggnote sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Eggnote holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lifelight has 410 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 78% of Lifelight's written reviews are positive against 20% of Eggnote's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Lifelight ships an update every 4 days, Eggnote every 10 days. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
