# Eco Smart vs SimpleLink™ Connect

The clearest difference is rating: SimpleLink™ Connect at 3.0 against Eco Smart's 1.8. SimpleLink™ Connect also leads on update cadence (every 3 months vs every 17 months). Eco Smart's advantage is ratings volume (47 vs 2) and review sentiment (8% vs 0%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SimpleLink™ Connect holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 1.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Eco Smart has 47 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 8% of Eco Smart's written reviews are positive against 0% of SimpleLink™ Connect's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Eco Smart ships an update every 17 months, SimpleLink™ Connect every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
