# Cat Pixels vs Simple Match 3

The clearest difference is rating: Simple Match 3 at 4.8 against Cat Pixels's 3.0. Simple Match 3 also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 15 months) and ratings volume (247 vs 1). Cat Pixels's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and review sentiment (100% vs 90%). On ads, monetization model and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Cat Pixels costs $0.99 and Simple Match 3 $1.99 up front. Simple Match 3 sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Cat Pixels asks for nothing beyond the download.

Simple Match 3 holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Simple Match 3 has 247 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Cat Pixels's written reviews are positive against 90% of Simple Match 3's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
