# Focus Tree vs Nerdmask

Focus Tree and Nerdmask both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 68% of Focus Tree's written reviews are positive against 29% of Nerdmask's. Focus Tree also leads on ratings volume (5.7K vs 199). Nerdmask's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Focus Tree sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Nerdmask sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Focus Tree against 4.7 for Nerdmask. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Focus Tree has 5.7K ratings behind it against 199, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 68% of Focus Tree's written reviews are positive against 29% of Nerdmask's.

Focus Tree ships an update every 2 weeks, Nerdmask every 2 days. Both last shipped on October 21, 2026.
