# Focus Tree vs StudyLock

The clearest difference is ads: StudyLock at none against Focus Tree's shown. StudyLock also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 68%) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Focus Tree's advantage is ratings volume (5.7K vs 1) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Focus Tree sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and StudyLock sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

StudyLock holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Focus Tree has 5.7K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 68% of Focus Tree's written reviews are positive against 100% of StudyLock's.

Focus Tree ships an update every 2 weeks, StudyLock monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
