# Focus Tree vs StudyRank

The clearest difference is ads: StudyRank at none against Focus Tree's shown. StudyRank also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 68%) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Focus Tree's advantage is ratings volume (5.7K vs 4) and iOS requirement (16.1 vs 18.0). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Focus Tree sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and StudyRank sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

StudyRank holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Focus Tree has 5.7K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 68% of Focus Tree's written reviews are positive against 100% of StudyRank's.

Focus Tree ships an update every 2 weeks, StudyRank every 5 days. Both last shipped on October 14, 2026.
