# Modasi vs Perceny

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Perceny at none against Modasi's 24. Modasi's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (696 vs 152). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Modasi sells 23 in-app purchases, starting at $6.00 per month. Perceny asks for nothing beyond the download.

Modasi holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 696 and 152 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 98% of Modasi's written reviews are positive against 100% of Perceny's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Modasi ships an update fortnightly, Perceny every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
