# WordCode vs Cipher Master

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Cipher Master at 6.1K against WordCode's 2. Cipher Master also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.6). WordCode's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WordCode sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Cipher Master sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for WordCode against 4.5 for Cipher Master. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cipher Master has 6.1K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

WordCode ships an update fortnightly, Cipher Master monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
