# Sight Singing Pro vs DroneTones

The clearest difference is monetization model: DroneTones at free against Sight Singing Pro's subscription. DroneTones also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 88%) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.6). Sight Singing Pro's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (189 vs 18). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sight Singing Pro sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month and DroneTones sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Sight Singing Pro against 4.9 for DroneTones. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sight Singing Pro has 189 ratings behind it against 18, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 88% of Sight Singing Pro's written reviews are positive against 100% of DroneTones's.

Sight Singing Pro ships an update every 5 days, DroneTones every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
