# BBC Maestro vs FEA

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: FEA at none against BBC Maestro's 3. FEA also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 79%). BBC Maestro's advantage is ratings volume (1K vs 3) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BBC Maestro sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $119.99 per year. FEA asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for BBC Maestro against 5.0 for FEA. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BBC Maestro has 1K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 79% of BBC Maestro's written reviews are positive against 100% of FEA's.

BBC Maestro ships an update every 3 weeks, FEA every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
