# Long Screenshot vs Video Compressor

The clearest difference is rating: Video Compressor at 4.3 against Long Screenshot's 2.9. Video Compressor also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 months) and ratings volume (52 vs 8). Long Screenshot's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and review sentiment (29% vs 14%). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Video Compressor sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Long Screenshot asks for nothing beyond the download.

Video Compressor holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Video Compressor has 52 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 29% of Long Screenshot's written reviews are positive against 14% of Video Compressor's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Long Screenshot ships an update every 5 months, Video Compressor every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
