# Discount Power vs Base Power

The clearest difference is rating: Discount Power at 4.9 against Base Power's 4.4. Discount Power also leads on ratings volume (844 vs 45). Base Power's advantage is review sentiment (74% vs 46%) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Discount Power holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Discount Power has 844 ratings behind it against 45, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 46% of Discount Power's written reviews are positive against 74% of Base Power's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Discount Power ships an update every 3 months, Base Power every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
