# Piano Sight Reading Trainer vs Notelet

The clearest difference is update cadence: Notelet at every 4 days against Piano Sight Reading Trainer's every 3 weeks. Notelet also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Piano Sight Reading Trainer's advantage is ratings volume (94 vs 11) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Piano Sight Reading Trainer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Notelet sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Notelet holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Piano Sight Reading Trainer has 94 ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Piano Sight Reading Trainer ships an update every 3 weeks, Notelet every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
