# Digital Planner vs Ruby

The clearest difference is rating: Ruby at 5.0 against Digital Planner's 4.3. Ruby also leads on review sentiment (60% vs 21%) and ads (none vs shown). Digital Planner's advantage is ratings volume (14K vs 1). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Digital Planner sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and Ruby sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.79 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Ruby holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Digital Planner has 14K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 21% of Digital Planner's written reviews are positive against 60% of Ruby's.

Digital Planner ships an update every 3 weeks, Ruby every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
