# Digital Planner vs Digital Notebook

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Digital Planner at 14K against Digital Notebook's 249. Digital Planner also leads on review sentiment (21% vs 10%). Digital Notebook's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.3). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Digital Planner sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and Digital Notebook sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Digital Notebook holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Digital Planner has 14K ratings behind it against 249, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 21% of Digital Planner's written reviews are positive against 10% of Digital Notebook's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Digital Planner ships an update every 3 weeks, Digital Notebook every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
