# Tonoto vs Memly

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Memly at none against Tonoto's 1. Tonoto's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 months) and ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tonoto sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Memly asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Tonoto against 5.0 for Memly. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tonoto has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Tonoto ships an update fortnightly, Memly every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
