# Great Reads vs Bookdot

The clearest difference is rating: Bookdot at 4.8 against Great Reads's 4.0. Bookdot also leads on ratings volume (67 vs 3). Great Reads's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and review sentiment (100% vs 90%). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bookdot sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Great Reads asks for nothing beyond the download.

Bookdot holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bookdot has 67 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Great Reads's written reviews are positive against 90% of Bookdot's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
