# RIX+ vs Maxcam Connect

The clearest difference is rating: Maxcam Connect at 5.0 against RIX+'s 3.7. Maxcam Connect also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 5 weeks). RIX+'s advantage is ratings volume (17 vs 2) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Maxcam Connect holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RIX+ has 17 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

RIX+ ships an update every 5 weeks, Maxcam Connect every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
