# Timer vs Tempo

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Tempo at none against Timer's 1. Tempo also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 3 days vs fortnightly). Timer's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Timer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Tempo asks for nothing beyond the download.

Timer ships an update fortnightly, Tempo every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
