# Ringotan vs Breakthrough! Visual Novel

The clearest difference is rating: Ringotan at 4.9 against Breakthrough! Visual Novel's 3.7. Ringotan also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 3) and ads (none vs shown). On price, review sentiment, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Breakthrough! Visual Novel sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Ringotan asks for nothing beyond the download.

Ringotan holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ringotan has 567 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 96% of Ringotan's written reviews are positive against 100% of Breakthrough! Visual Novel's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
