# Better Step vs Hydrame

The clearest difference is ads: Better Step at none against Hydrame's shown. Better Step also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 17.0). Hydrame's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 6 days). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Better Step sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $27.49 per year and Hydrame sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
