# Smartz Eaze vs CarMD Connect

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: CarMD Connect at none against Smartz Eaze's 18. CarMD Connect also leads on rating (4.5 vs 4.3). Smartz Eaze's advantage is ratings volume (1.1K vs 8). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Smartz Eaze sells 18 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. CarMD Connect asks for nothing beyond the download.

CarMD Connect holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Smartz Eaze has 1.1K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 7% of Smartz Eaze's written reviews are positive against 0% of CarMD Connect's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
