# Universal Widget vs Lock Screen Text

The clearest difference is update cadence: Lock Screen Text at every 2 days against Universal Widget's every 3 weeks. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Universal Widget sells 7 one-off in-app purchases and Lock Screen Text sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Universal Widget ships an update every 3 weeks, Lock Screen Text every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
