# Superscan vs Hidden Camera

The clearest difference is monetization model: Hidden Camera at freemium against Superscan's subscription. Superscan's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 4 months). On price, rating, ratings volume and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Superscan sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $7.49 per 7 days and Hidden Camera sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Superscan against 4.5 for Hidden Camera. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 313 and 190 respectively. Written reviews are what separate them: 20% of Superscan's written reviews are positive against 0% of Hidden Camera's.
