# FanGraphs vs NextGP

The clearest difference is ads: NextGP at none against FanGraphs's shown. NextGP also leads on review sentiment (89% vs 69%) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). FanGraphs's advantage is ratings volume (401 vs 16). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FanGraphs sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and NextGP sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

NextGP holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FanGraphs has 401 ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 69% of FanGraphs's written reviews are positive against 89% of NextGP's.

FanGraphs ships an update every 2 weeks, NextGP weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
