# FanGraphs vs DraftMatrix

The clearest difference is ads: DraftMatrix at none against FanGraphs's shown. DraftMatrix also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 69%) and update cadence (every 3 days vs every 2 weeks). FanGraphs's advantage is ratings volume (407 vs 2) and monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs paid). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FanGraphs sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and DraftMatrix sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

DraftMatrix holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FanGraphs has 407 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 69% of FanGraphs's written reviews are positive against 100% of DraftMatrix's.

FanGraphs ships an update every 2 weeks, DraftMatrix every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
