# VEE vs Almanea

The clearest difference is rating: VEE at 5.0 against Almanea's 2.3. VEE also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Almanea's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (27 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

VEE holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Almanea has 27 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

VEE ships an update every 2 months, Almanea every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and September 19, 2026 respectively.
