# WIS vs Lingopic

The clearest difference is rating: Lingopic at 4.7 against WIS's 4.5. Lingopic also leads on iOS requirement (16.0 vs 26.0). WIS's advantage is review sentiment (59% vs 48%). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WIS sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Lingopic sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Lingopic holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 277 and 328 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 59% of WIS's written reviews are positive against 48% of Lingopic's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

WIS ships an update every 3 weeks, Lingopic fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
